Billo, A Content Creator’s Dream
Before I dive in, I just want to share that this in no way is a sponsored post, this is my experience with Billo as a content creator. These are my real and honest opinions on this platform. However, there are some affiliate links in this post, meaning I make a small commission at no cost to you. Thank you for supporting my family!
I’ve been having a lot of fun lately stepping into more of the content creation role in moving forward in monetizing my social media and blogging hobby.
Content creation has a ton of different elements to it, from blogging, to creating organic content for my social media, creating sponsored content for my social media, and creating content for brands to use for their social media.
Just starting out, sometimes it’s hard to create brand partnerships and land high-paying sponsored posts.
In walks…Billo.
Billo has changed the game for me in my content creation game.
What is Billo? I’m glad you asked!
Billo is basically a platform for content creators to create videos for brands to use as ads.
You know the instagram ads you see from “influencers”? Or the YouTube review ads?
That’s what Billo is.
You basically create those videos, and get paid anywhere from $15-$30 for every 15-60 second video you get approved for and create.
Now, let’s dive in.
I hopped on Billo after seeing an Instagram ad for it about two weeks ago, and I was genuinely just very curious.
So, I signed up.
Since then, I have been able to apply to so many opportunities, and I have already been approved for 11 tasks, bringing in over $200 once all of the videos are approved! It truly has been so fun to create content for these brands, and get paid. It takes me about 30 or so minutes to create and edit the videos per the directions from the brand, but getting paid an average of $20 for 30 minutes of work is definitely not a bad way to go.
Here’s some more pro’s of Billo:
+ You get paid every two weeks
+ You get to try a lot of new products, and you almost always get to keep the products you recieve.
+ It’s an easy way to get content creation experience.
Some cons of working with Billo:
+ You get approved for a lot more than you think you will, and there is no way to accept or reject once you have been approved. If you don’t have a good amount of time, then you will fall behind quickly!
+ You do need video editing software/ a little bit of video editing experience. I personally use Adobe Premiere Rush ($9.99 a month) so that things are automatically synced to my phone for easy upload. If you even do one video per month, it ends up paying for itself!
+ There is only an app to upload videos, which can be a pro and con I guess. I personally wish you were able to upload via
Besides those things, I have truly been loving this platform, and I’m looking forward to using it more to bring in a little bit of extra income every month!
If this sounds like something you want to do, here is what I recommend as far as what would be very helpful to get started with Billo
+ A Ring Light ( I LOVE this one)
+ A Few Neutral colored + Plain t-shirts ( like these) to shoot in
And honestly, that’s it!
A lot of the time I just film in Instagram stories, upload the clips to Rush, and edit from there. Super simple!
So far on the app, I have $96.91 pending in completed tasks with 11 other active tasks (over $300 when completed), and have received over $900 in free product. In two weeks. Anyways, not too shabby!
If you are looking to start in content creation or looking for a way to bring in some extra money (with free product!) then Billo is definitely for you!
